This is an in-person education course, designed to give parents and caregivers the confidence and skills to respond in an emergency involving babies and young children.

 

Delivered by Tiny Hearts educators with real-world emergency experience, this course focuses on practical, hands-on learning and clear decision-making, without overwhelm or judgement.

Emergency and First Aid Foundations

  • Baby and child CPR
  • Choking prevention and choking first aid
  • Drowning prevention and emergency response
  • When to monitor at home vs when to escalate for medical care

Allergies and Anaphylaxis

  • Recognising allergic reactions
  • Anaphylaxis and EpiPen use

Managing Illness

  • Febrile seizures
  • Fever management
  • Meningococcal

Managing Injuries

  • Burns and scalds
  • Bleeding and wound care
  • Fractures and sprains
  • Head injuries and concussion

Envenomation and Poisoning

We know time away from your little one, particularly newborns, can be tough. Unfortunately, venue restrictions prevent us from welcoming children at our courses. If finding care is a challenge, we encourage you to explore our in-home or online courses, designed to fit seamlessly into your family life. We have a baby-friendly course available, that can be selected from the location menu.
