Baby First Aid FAQ
What type of baby first aid courses are available?
At Tiny Hearts, we offer a range of baby and child first aid courses, each designed with your family’s needs in mind. Dive into our flexible Online Course - it's perfect for fitting into your busy schedule and comes with lifetime access. For a more hands-on experience, our Public First Aid Course is great for couples and small groups, and it includes our detailed Baby & Child First Aid Handbook. Or, if you prefer the comfort of your own home, our Private First Aid Course brings the learning to you, ideal for families, friends, and mothers' groups, with the same essential first aid handbook included.
What topics are covered?
The Tiny Hearts First Aid Course is available in two formats: a comprehensive face-to-face or live online course and a flexible online course. The face-to-face and live online options cover a wide range of topics including everything from basic first aid and CPR to specific conditions like anaphylaxis and respiratory distress, coupled with practical exercises like responding to choking scenarios and managing various injuries. The online course, while covering many core areas such as CPR and emergency responses, focuses on foundational first aid knowledge, suitable for those who need flexibility in learning or a quick refresher.
Should I take the course before or after having a baby?
Taking our course before your baby arrives is highly recommended. This proactive approach allows you to enter parenthood with confidence, fully prepared for the challenges and joys ahead. Equip yourself with essential first aid skills and knowledge early, so you're ready to act with confidence from day one.
Is the course accredited?
While Tiny Hearts is a Registered Training Organisation, our courses are not accredited. Our courses are designed to empower you on your personal parenting journey. If you require accredited first aid training for professional purposes, we recommend connecting with our sister company, HERO, which specialises in accredited training for workplaces.
What is the refund policy for the courses?
At Tiny Hearts, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. While we do not offer refunds on course enrolments, we are here to support you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please reach out to us before your course date. We are committed to working with you to find an alternative session so that you don't miss out on the opportunity to learn these vital skills.
What age range is the Tiny Hearts course designed for?
Our Tiny Hearts course is specifically designed for caregivers of children from birth to 8 years, focusing on crucial skills like CPR, applicable across all ages. This course equips you with essential knowledge and practical skills to confidently manage emergencies in young children, while also being broadly relevant to other age groups.
